Hinterlands Hinterlands is feature lenght motion picture. It is cyber-noir, near future sci-fi. It will be initally shot / distributed as a hybrid syndicated web-series in cooperation with my business partners. The web eposdes will then be editied together into the feature lenght film. My primary idea is to simultaneously shoot with 3 or 4 cameras to minimize production schedule; do an entire scene in one setup and 5 takes. |

Beginnings. Short Scenes & Tests
"Beginnings" are four short scenes setting up the prologue (below.) Beginnings introduce the protagonists and antagonists: Marlow, The Fat Man and his Dogz pack, Kurtz and the Buzz, and the AI's.

Aphrodite v7.02
Genre Drama, Suspense
R Rated. "HBO" type nudity and sexual content.
Agent must either appease (seduce) or defeat (kill) Aphrodite v7.02, an AI program in a virtual reality (sort of like the Matrix, only no rules.)
Background. Aphrodite is an artificial intelligence, a firewall os, guarding a restricted database. She exists in a virtual environment and has the ability to stimulate pleasure centers, or, cause unimaginable pain and even death by stopping lung or heart function. In terms of plot and character, she is very similar to a goddess in a myth.
Aphrodite will shift between seduction and threat. Because she "lives" in a virtual environment (green screen), her avatar, wardrobe and background will jump cut between different looks and backgrounds without warning. For example, hard cut from "scary goth on street" to seductive Victoria's Secret in white bedroom," genre jumping from music video to film dialogue.
Dogz & Catz
Genre - action
A group of ordinary party-goers are forcibly recruited into the Fat Man's Dogz pack.
The Buzz
Genre - Suspense, Horror
Girl is hunted thorough streets by the Buzz.
Marlow
Genre: Drama - Comedy
Marlow and Sean are forced by a corrup Denver Shariff to do a job.
After Beginnings are finished through theater projectable print, we'll do the Prologue.
